Here at Baker Distributing, we recommend a drinkable Rosé wine. Let’s take a look at some of our new offerings for 2017.

This wine is made locally right in Cambridge, Vermont. It is dry in taste and full of raspberry flavor that complements its vibrant acidity. It’s made using Frontenac and Cayuga White grapes. Fun Fact: The Rosé is named after the Boyden daughters Juliette and Laurence.

Enjoy a delicate, fruity flavor of strawberry and citrus when you uncork a bottle of this Rosé. It is rich with aromas of watermelon, nectarine, ruby red grapefruit, lilies, and orange blossoms. 

 

 

 

Martin Ray Vineyard and Winery: Pinot Noir Rosé

Treat yourself to a blend of blood orange, kiwifruit, passionfruit and coconut flavors, mingling with the aromas of watermelon and orange creme. This Rosé would be ideal for a relaxing afternoon in the sun.

It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over, say it ain’t so! However, the fall season in Vermont has plenty of sunshine and fun to go around, so enjoy it while it lasts! Speaking of fun, Boyden Valley Winery & Spirits, is celebrating the grape harvest, with their annual Harvest Fest & Camp Ta-Kum-Ta benefit. Camp Ta-Kum-Ta provides challenging, extraordinary experiences in a safe and loving environment for children who have or had cancer and their families. A portion of the wine tasting proceeds will benefit the Camp. Be sure to bring your friends and family and head to beautiful Cambridge, VT, for a weekend of food, music, and fun activities that everyone can enjoy! Boyden Valley Winery & Spirits crafts award-winning wines, artisan ciders, and cream liqueurs using sustainable agriculture and supporting other Vermont farms.

Below, you can find all the information you need for this upcoming not-to-miss event taking place Saturday & Sunday, September 19th & 20th from 10am to 6pm! The event will feature the following:

  • Live Music by The Tenderbellies both days 12:30pm-3:30pm
  • Winery Tours and Meet the Winemaker ( tour suitable for all ages )
  • Taste Wine Grape Juice before it’s fermented! ( also suitable for all ages )
  • Wine & Cider Tastings – A portion of the proceeds to benefit Camp Ta-Kum-Ta
  • Tractor-pulled Hayrides & Face Paintings
  • Grape Stomping for All Ages!
  • Local Food Trucks & Food Vendors including: Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, New Moon Cafe (sandwiches & dessert), Off the Grid, On the Grind (Coffee & more), Smuggler’s Notch Distillery (Local Spirits), Smokin’ Butt’s Bar-B-Q (Smoked Meats & more), Starbird Fish (Fresh Seafood Rolls) & STiR Chocolates (Artisan Chocolates).

This event also features FREE Admission and FREE Parking! No reservations or tickets are required. This year’s Harvest Fest is supported by the Vermont Fresh Network and Lake Champlain Chocolates.

We’re excited to announce a new hard cider from Boyden Valley Winery in Cambridge, Vermont. The Vermont Ice Royale cider has a distinct flavor, unlike any other cider you’ve experienced. This unique cider is made from Vermont grown McIntosh, Northern Spy, and Empire apples. Vermont grown, organic black currants are then added to create a distinct fruity flavor.

The process is simple; the cider is cold fermented in stainless steel, lightly carbonated, and finished with a labor of love. Boyden Valley is calling this cider “Vermont’s version of a Kir Royale,” which is typically made with champagne, raspberries and Chambord. Ice Royale Cider is a versatile beverage and can be paired with anything from a dark chocolate dessert, cheesecake, to a large salad or sandwich.

Vermont Ice Royale is available on tap only, so be sure to ask for it at your favorite bars, restaurants, and more!
