Post your training video on our page by noon time Friday, September 9th and the best video submissions will be rewarded with free race admission! Winners can chose to compete in the Ultra Beast, Beast, or Sprint. About the VT Spartan Race:

“The Killington, VT Spartan Race has hosted three Spartan World Championship events. If you think you’re among the baddest of the east, we welcome you to come play in what is known as “Joe’s backyard.” This is where Spartan Race was born; and that means anything goes. You can expect steep slopes, off-trail descents, massive climbs, and chilly swims. The wonderful ski-town of Killington welcomes Spartans with open arms. Come see where it all began and witness the menace that gave Spartan Race its roots. Be forewarned though: this course has been known to destroy those not prepared in their mind, body, legs and soul.”

If you want to experience one of the most rewarding and challenging courses in the world, come out to the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont. While the climbs will have your calves and quads begging for a massage, the cascading silhouettes of mountains and the unpredictable weather will have you shouting AROO! as you battle for glory from the mountain tops.

Additional Information:

The race will take place Saturday, September 17th at 7am – 6pm.

The location is: Killington Ski Resort Killington, Vermont.

Check out the Vermont Spartan Race Beast page for more details and information.

Happy Training!

Have you had the pleasure of visiting Goodwater Brewery? If not, do yourself a favor, rally your friends and check this place out! Located at 740 Marshall Ave in Williston, Vermont, this brewery has everything you need: Amazing locally crafted beer, friendly staff, a cozy atmosphere, snacks, and air conditioning! What more could you possibly want?

We had the pleasure of chatting with co-owner Chris Capetz (pictured below), one Friday afternoon, to take photos of their amazing new space, and tour the brewery. Upon greeting us, we were immediately handed a beer, now that’s service!

Chris handed Topher, Goodwater’s “InspiRED” (Irish Red Ale), a slightly malty, balanced beer, that’s clean, smooth and has moderate carbonation. I opted for the sampler which includes their four beers: The Proper Mild – a classic English style ale, Sweet Winter Brown – a medium bodied brown ale, InspiRED – the easy drinking Irish style red ale & the Hoppy Side of Pale – a smooth drinking full bodied pale ale.

All of Goodwater’s beers are fantastic! It was really hard to choose a favorite. But there was just something so fresh and delicious about that Proper Mild, I couldn’t resist getting a pint for myself. Just look at that beer…!

I paired my Proper Mild with a Goodwater housemade pretzel that also happens to have their logo incorporated into the design. How cool is that?

After we enjoyed our beers, Chris took us on a tour of the brewery.

IMG_0311We love how you can see inside of the brewery from the bar.
